LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Breaking the Binary Theatre acknowledges that our rehearsal and performances spaces, located on the island of Manhahtaan (Manhahatta), are situated on the land that is Lenapehoking, Homeland of the Lenape.

Lenape Center: Lenape Center is a nonprofit organization fiscally sponsored by the New York Foundation for the Arts. For over thirteen years, the center's work has been the creation and development of exhibitions, public art, symposia, music, opera, theater, education (workshops, lectures, curricula).
Indigenous Direction: A consulting firm founded by BTB Core member Ty Defoe and Larissa Fasthorse for companies and artists who want to create accurate work about, for and with Indigenous Peoples'.
LandBack.org: A Campaign/Collective which serves as a mechanism to connect, coordinate, resource and amplify the movement to return native land back to native communities.
American Indian Community House: The American Indian Community House is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization serving the needs of Native Americans residing in New York City. AICH was founded in 1969, by Native American volunteers as a community-based organization, mandated to improve the status of Native Americans, and to foster inter-cultural understanding.
Mannahatta Fund: This website is maintained by the Manna-hatta Fund, a group of non-Native, settler volunteers in New York City who honor Native people’s right to land, resources, culture, and autonomy. AICH has unrestricted and direct authority over the use of donations to the Manna-hatta Fund.
